Beach Club Marketplace – Round 2

On the second morning of our week long stay at the Beach Club, I again headed to the Beach Club Marketplace to refill my mug with coffee.  I was also in search of a snack to go with my coffee so first checked out their assortment of breakfast pastries…

Nothing here seemed to be calling my name, especially when I realized that for a $1 or $2 more I could get the Kids’ Mickey Waffles which included two waffles and two slices of bacon (or two sausage links)…

…plus a small milk or small bottle of water.

I paid just $4.99 for all of this (in December 2016), however in looking at the current online menu I see that the price has been raised to $5.99.  Even with the 20% price increase, this is still not a bad deal…just not quite as good as it was.

I had one of the waffles, my daughter had the bacon, and my son ate the other waffle and drank the chocolate milk.  We were all pleased with our breakfast.

I ended up visiting the Beach Marketplace for the Kids’ Mickey waffle meal two more times during our week long stay at the Beach Club.  I also again got the Egg & Cheese Sandwich (what I had had during my first morning) one morning.  Each morning our breakfast was consistently good.

I also visited the Marketplace one evening to use my refillable mug for a soda.  During this visit I noticed the cupcakes in one of their refrigerated cases.  There was this cute Holiday one with Oreo Mickey ears…

Not really sure what this one was…

But this one, their Reese’s Pieces cupcake, I’ve heard about…

Unfortunately I can’t review any of these cupcakes though, because I never purchased any of them.  However, after reading a cupcake review on the Disney Food Blog from October 2015, it doesn’t seem like we missed much.  Apparently there are issues with the freshness of the refrigerated cupcakes at the Beach Club Marketplace.
