October 2015 Trip Review
Here is a photo of the menu which sat outside of the restaurant…
I was seated at a table (for I believe 8) along with a family of 5, which was on the upper tier with a a fairly direct view of the stage…
My ADR was for 1:35 (lunch is served from Noon – 3:00) and there were several empty tables. After placing my drink order with our server, I took a few photos of the band…
Then I headed to the nearby buffet line to take some photos, starting with the cold salads such as these Mixed Greens…
I think this was a Tomato Salad with Red Onion and Fresh Basil…
German Potato Salad…
Not sure on this one but I think this was a Pickled Red Beet Salad???…
Macaroni Salad…
And Cucumber-Dill Salad…
Another item in the cold section was this platter of Assorted Cold Meats…
And there was a huge basket of rolls, which included just a few pretzel rolls…
But don’t worry pretzel roll lovers (like me), ’cause there was a whole basket of pretzel rolls on the other side of the buffet…
Next I photographed some of the many selections in the Hot Section of the buffet, starting with some side dishes like Pea Pods and Carrots…
Sauteed Green Beans…
Roasted Potatoes…
I think this was a Warm German Potato Salad, similar to scalloped potatoes…
Spaetzle…
White Rice and Chicken Fricassee…
And of course, Nudel Gratin (Baked Macaroni with Cheese Custard)…
Main dishes included Roasted Chicken…
German Sausages and Sauerkraut…
Meatballs…
Pork Schnitzel…
Roasted Chicken Legs…
Frankfurter Sausages…
Salmon with Lemon-Dill Cream Sauce…
And at the carving station was Roasted Pork…
I then filled a plate and returned to my table with this…
While all my choices were good, my favorites were the cucumber-dill salad, meatball, and roasted pork.
I also got a separate bowl of the Nudel Gratin, which was another of my favorites…
Then it was time to check out the Dessert Section. For those who prefer cheese for their dessert, they had you covered here with this Cheese Assortment and accompaniments…
There was also fresh fruit, including these watermelon slices that looked good…
But of course, I went for the sweet stuff. Like this Blueberry Crumble Cake…
Chocolate Cream Roulades…
Bavarian Cheesecake…
Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce…
Chocolate Chip Cookies…
Black Forest Cake…
And Red Berry Compote…
I’m a bit ashamed to say that I tried most of the these, as you can see…
My favorites were the chocolate chip cookie and chocolate cream roulade, but the best of the best was the Bavarian cheesecake. Holy cow this was good!!!
So overall I thought this lunch was great and fairly priced (by Disney standards) at $29.99 (less my 20% Tables in Wonderland discount). I will definitely return to the Biergarten Restaurant, perhaps not on my next trip but I definitely won’t be waiting another 15 years.
