Chefs de France Dinner Review – May 2026

It had been almost 10 years since I had dined at Chefs de France so I was looking forward to eating here again.

We had a rather late dinner reservation at 8:40 but were seated about 15 – 20 minutes early. I believe their last seating of the day is at 8:55, with Epcot closing after the 9:00 fireworks show.

So let’s begin our review with their menu…

While we looked over the menu, our very nice looking server brought this french baguette to our table…

The crust of the bread seemed a tiny bit tough (perhaps a tiny bit stale?) but it was still pretty good.

I had checked out their menu online before our trip and had chosen two entrees that I wanted to try. So now I just had to talk my husband into ordering one of them, lol.

It didn’t take much convincing though to get him to order this…

Filet de Saumon (seared salmon) with sauce beurre blanc, green beans, and potato puree – $38.95

This is normally served with rice pilaf but I had read that the potato puree was very good here so I suggested that he ask for the substitution, which he did. He was very glad that I made the suggestion because the potatoes were delicious. Additionally I saw the rice pilaf served to a guest at the table next to us and it just looked like a pile of rice. Don also enjoyed the salmon, mostly due to the flavorful white, buttery sauce. I thought it might have some lemon but Don disagreed. I guess the tang of the sauce was likely just from white wine and perhaps some white wine vinegar. Regardless, his meal was quite good and we gave it a rating of 4 1/2.

The salmon was given a 4 1/2 in order to make room for my entree, which was even better…

Poulet Cordon Bleu – Breaded chicken breast filled with smoked ham and served with potato puree, and peas and carrots in a bechamel sauce – $39.95

I loved this! Though the sauce wasn’t quite as good as Don’s, it was still delicious. And overall my entree was even better than Don’s salmon so we agreed that it deserved a perfect rating of 5.

When trying to decide when to schedule our meal at Chef de France during our 10 day trip, I took their Kids menu into consideration. It had only three entrees…hamburger, salmon, and chicken tenders. My grandchildren don’t eat hamburgers or salmon so they would only have one choice here. So ultimately I decided to eat at Chefs de France before the rest of our family (including the 2 and 4 year old) joined us on this trip. I think it was a wise decision.

When the table next to us finished their dinner and left, I noticed that the child had barely touched their chicken tenders and to be honest I understand why when I saw them. I took a photo before they cleared the table…

I guess if you like a cornmeal crust on your chicken tenders, you might like these but to me they looked rather pale and unappetizing.

By 8:57 the restaurant was mostly empty so I took a photo to show the interior of the restaurant…

This made for a very quiet, relaxing end to our meal. Though I generally don’t like eating dinner that late, I must admit that it has its advantages.

At 9:00 the Luminous fireworks show began over the World Showcase Lagoon. While our table was not right next to the window, it was just one row over so we did have an obstructed view of the show…

Just before the fireworks we had ordered dessert, choosing from this menu…

The dessert I had my eye on from the online menu was missing. I guess I could have asked if it was still available but it was late, I was tired, and I just went with my second choice…

Creme Brulee – $13.95

I mean, you can’t go wrong with creme brulee, especially at a French restaurant. I especially liked the fruit garnish (a raspberry, strawberry, and three blueberries) and line of whipped cream on top. I only wish there had been more fruit since we were sharing. We gave the creme brulee a rating of 4.

In case you were wondering what my first dessert choice was, I had wanted to have the Profiterole with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. When writing up my notes for this review back at the hotel that night, I looked at the menu listed on the official Disney World website and there it was…the profiterole was still on the menu. Here’s a screenshot as proof…

The profiterole had been replaced (I guess very recently since the online menu had still not been updated) by a frozen nougat with raspberry sorbet?? Boo!

But other than that minor disappointment, our meal was quite good and so was the service. I will definitely not wait another 10 years before returning to Chefs de France.

I took one more photo on the way out at 9:30 of an empty restaurant. It is quite pretty. Au revoir Chefs de France, until we meet again!
