Geyser Point Bar & Grill

This was our first ever visit to the Geyser Point Bar & Grill, located down by the lake at the Wilderness Lodge.  It is a very nice, relaxing setting and the open air bar itself was quite nice…

We found a table with a nice view of the water…

And began looking over their menus, starting with their Cocktail menu…

I believe Paula and Hunter both ordered drinks from the Featured Cocktail section of the menu…

Paula’s drink (on the right) was a Black Cherry Mule (Zodiac Black Cherry Vodka, fresh Lime Juice, and Agave Nectar topped with Fever Tree Ginger Beer) and I think Hunter’s was a Northwest Iced Tea (Rogue Dark Rum, 44 North Idaho Potato Vodka, Aviation Gin, Cointreau, and Sweet-and-Sour with a splash of Coca-Cola).

Paula said her drink didn’t taste very cherry and all of our drinks seemed light on the alcohol here.

My choice was from the Specialty section of their cocktail menu…

Frozen Pina Colava with Bacardi Raspberry Rum blended with Pina Colada Mix and Raspberry Puree

This was fine but I think I prefer a regular pina colava, as this was a little too sweet with the addition of the raspberry puree.

Hunter and Paula also ordered a snack from their Daily Specials menu…

Popcorn with Truffle Sea Salt

They really enjoyed this!

Then we sat back, relaxed and enjoyed the view…

After awhile I was a little hungry so took a look at their regular food menu…

I decided on something from the Rustic Fare section…

This is what I ordered for us to share…

Cheesy Barbecue Brisket with House-made Chips

And a closer look at the brisket…

The brisket was pretty good but the real star for  me was the house-made chips…very good!

So that just leaves the ratings and rankings.  Yelp reviewers gave Geyser Point 3 1/2 stars but it fared much better on Trip Advisor, rating 4 1/2 stars.  While the drinks and food would probably rate a 3 1/2 from us, given the great location I would bump our rating up to at least 4 stars.  As for their ranking, they came in at #437 (of nearly 3,000 Orlando area places reviewed) on Trip Advisor and #131 when narrowing it to just the Disney World area.
