Grand Floridian Cafe Breakfast x 2

I met up with my friends, Paula & Hunter, at 9:00 a.m. to have breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe.  Once seated we were presented with their new combined breakfast and lunch menu…

So it seems that all of the options listed were available from the time they open at 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. (their last lunch seating).  Then their dinner menu is served starting at 5:00 p.m.

A smaller change that I noticed was instead of the usual red rose on each of the tables, the tables (including ours) had this…

Now on to the food.  We stuck with the breakfast options, except for the French Onion soup that Hunter ordered…

Then he also shared this breakfast entree with Paula…

Traditional Eggs Benedict with Two Poached Eggs and Canadian Bacon on a Toasted English Muffin topped with Hollandaise

The eggs benedict was served with a Marinated Tomato Salad…

They also ordered an extra side of Cheese Hash Brown Casserole…

Hunter said, “OMG! So good!  I loved everything about this breakfast!  Amaze balls…and I hate breakfast foods.”

As for me, I got my usual…

French Toast with Madagascar Vanilla Bean-Butter and Bacon

This was good but not as good as it used to be.  Their french toast used to be called Vanilla-Laced French Toast because the bread was dipped in vanilla-flavored batter.

Here’s a photo of the Vanilla-Laced French Toast from my last breakfast at the GFC in May 2015…

So anyway, while this was good, the old version was wonderful.

But on a more positive note, the bacon was very good and so was the side of scrambled eggs that I ordered…

And Hunter and Paula liked their breakfast so much that they returned during their December trip to Disney World, this time with Hunter’s mom and aunt with them.

In December, Hunter ordered the same meal of French Onion soup…

…and Eggs Benedict.

But this time, Paula got her own entree and chose…

The Grand Cafe Sandwich – Open-faced hot Sandwich with Ham, Smoked Turkey Breast, and Bacon topped with Fried Onion Straws and served with Boursin Cheese Sauce on the side

Hunter’s aunt ordered the Grand Floridian Breakfast…

Two Eggs (any style) served with a Buttermilk Biscuit, Bacon, Sausage, and Cheese Hash Brown Casserole

And his mom had this…

Three-Egg Omelet served with fresh fruit

Paula said, “We all really enjoyed this meal.  It was fabulous!  The Grand Floridian Cafe is a hidden gem.”
