We each ordered a cocktail from this menu…
Mine was the Screwdriver (on the left) which was orange juice with SKYY Vodka. My daughter ordered the Cuba-Libre with Don Q Rum and Coca-Cola plus a squeeze of lime juice. Both were your standard bar drinks, well except for the fact that they serve them in slanted glasses here. Also both were $7, which I guess by Disney standards is a good (special, reduced) price.
I always like to have a snack when drinking alcohol (to keep it from going straight to my head), so I talked my daughter into sharing this with me…
Jock’s Loaded Nachos – Key Lime Tortilla Chips topped with seasoned ground beef, black beans, guacamole, sour cream, fresh salsa, and a blend of shredded cheeses
These were a bit of a disappointment. Though there were plenty of chips, they were a little short on toppings. Plus the blend of shredded cheeses (from the menu description) turned out to be your standard nacho cheese sauce. If you read my review from our October 2016 visit to the Hangar Bar (also during Happy Hour), you may recall that we got the Loaded Fries (aka Belloq’s Bacon Fries) and they too had a very skimpy amount of bacon and cheese toppings. At the special “happy hour” price of $7 for each of these, one could say, “You get what you pay for”…I guess???
So although the atmosphere/theme here are great with many cool things to look at…
…after two visits to the Hangar Bar I am not really impressed with their food offerings. I might give it one more try during my upcoming visit to Disney World though…this time trying an appetizer not on their specially priced Happy Hour menu. Until then I’ll reserve judgment and hold off on my rating of Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. But in case you were interested, both Trip Advisor and Yelp reviewers have given Jock’s 4 stars.
