The was my 3rd visit to the Hangar Bar, as I had stopped by for Happy Hour here on both of my trips to Disney World in 2016. Both times we had ordered snacks from their special Happy Hour menu (with reduced prices) and both times I was disappointed by the food. So this time around I was happy that we had missed the happy time (which I think is from 3:00 – 6:30) and therefore weren’t tempted to order from their Happy Hour special menu.
Anyway, on my two previous times I had sat at one of the table inside the bar but this time we chose a table outside on the deck.
Hunter and Paula both got a Cuba Libre (Don Q Rum and Coca-Cola plus a squeeze of lime juice).
Which they both seemed to enjoy…
No drink for me but I did order a snack for us to share from their regular food menu…
I chose the first thing listed on the menu…
Air Pirate’s Pretzels – A flight of Everything Pretzels with spicy German Mustard and Beer-Cheese Fondue
I loved that these were served in an airplane…
I ate mine with the beer-cheese fondue, as I am not really a fan of mustard, and it was good.
So after three visits I would rate Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar only about a 3, maybe a 3 1/2 if you factor in the cool theming (I especially loved the cute airplane). Yelp and Trip Advisor reviewers don’t agree with me though, as both groups have given Jock Lindsey’s 4 stars. Also on Trip Advisor this bar is ranked #351 of the nearly 3000 Orlando area places reviewed there. Narrowing it to just the 300+ Disney World area places reviewed there, they come in at #104.
