Liberty Tree Tavern serves an All You Care to Enjoy family-style meal, which was $44.00/adult when we visited in March of 2025. Currently the price, as of this writing in May 2026, is now $45.00. I received a 10% discount on this meal by using my Disney Chase VISA to pay for it.
We were seated in the area themed to Thomas Jefferson, as his portrait was displayed on a nearby wall…
Other notable Colonial American historical figures that have a dining area honoring them at Liberty Tree are Benjamin Franklin, John Paul Jones, Paul Revere, Betsy Ross, and George Washington.
Ok, now on to the food, which is brought to your table on platters and large bowls to be passed around and shared by everyone at your table.
First the Dinner Rolls…
These were fine and there were plenty of them, but nothing was said about them by our group. They were not included on anyone’s favorite list and no one had any complaints about them.
Next up came the Declaration Salad…
Mixed Greens, Apples, Dried Cranberries, and Shredded Cheese tossed with House-made Honey-Shallot Vinaigrette.
I love this salad. I remember getting it with chicken added as my entree back when they had an A la Carte menu that you could order from. I especially like the addition of the dried cranberries and I really enjoy the light, refreshing dressing. Two others of our group, Allison and Jake, also listed the salad among their favorites.
The main course (aka the Patriot’s Platter) was then served. This included a platter of meats…
Front right was Roasted Turkey, left was Pot Roast and hiding in the back was Smoked Pork Loin.
Here’s another photo which better shows the pork loin…
I think the cup on this platter contained cranberry sauce, but I don’t care for cranberry sauce so I can’t confirm.
The Pot Roast was a favorite of all of the guys (Don, Andrew, and Jake), while the ladies preferred the Turkey. No one liked the Pork Loin though, with comments made that it was “dry”, “hard and leathery”, and “tough”. I heard that for a brief time last summer they replaced the pork loin with ham but I see that it is back on the current menu (May 2026). Not sure why they changed this and then changed it back, but I can’t imagine that the ham could have been worse than the pork loin.
Now for the sides…
As you can see, this platter included Green Beans, Herbed Stuffing, and Mashed Potatoes. The green beans were “garlicy”, which is probably why I enjoyed them so much. They were also on Allison and Jake’s list of favorites. The stuffing was pretty good, although it was not among anyone’s favorites. What was a favorite of nearly everyone was the mashed potatoes. They were delicious!
I believe the mashed potatoes were the only thing we requested seconds of…
The mashed potatoes were the best side of this meal. We were surprised at the side that was the worst…
Yes, much to our disappointment, this Macaroni & Cheese was not good. We agreed that it and the pork loin were the weakest links of this meal. However, though all of the adults were not fans of the mac & cheese, our 3 year granddaughter didn’t seem to mind it a bit. Of course she has a pretty low bar when it comes to mac & cheese, as she could live on Annie’s mac & cheese that comes in a microwavable cup and be perfectly happy. Just add water and and a packet of powdered cheese. Yum! (haha)
And before I move on from the Mac & Cheese I want to add that this was the 4th time I’d had macaroni & cheese on this trip. The LTT one was my least favorite of the four. Roundup Rodeo BBQ would come in 3rd in my ranking. #2 would be the German mac & cheese (Nudel Gratin) at Biergarten. And that just leaves my #1 Homecomin’, where Chef Art Smith’s uses his momma’s recipe. Thanks Momma Smith!
Now on to the grand finale…
Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake – Vanilla Toffee Cake, Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream
This remains one of my favorite desserts at Disney World. It makes me hungry just looking at the photo. And it makes me happy that we are planning to dine at Liberty Tree during our upcoming trip. Ooey Gooey, we are coming for you!
Unfortunately because of his tree nut allergy Jake was unable to have the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. So instead this was his dessert…
This was just sorbet (I think raspberry flavored) topped with fresh blueberries. It was fine.
So overall I would recommend Liberty Tree Tavern, especially for families with young children. Meals that are served family-style like this are so much easier to navigate than buffet lines or deciding what to order for a child from a menu. The food arrives quickly and there is plenty of it. Plus with the variety of food that you get, there’s usually something that will please everyone. And at Liberty Tree most of the food is good.
As I mentioned earlier, we will soon be returning Liberty Tree. We were invited to join another family here for dinner. There will be 9 of us, so it will be interesting to get feedback from more people plus we will see if our opinions remain the same. Some Disney restaurants seem to have a problem with consistency. We will find out if Liberty Tree is one of those restaurants. So stay tuned.
