They were very busy and I had to wait for a bit before I was seated. I was very glad though that I had a reservation, as they were fully booked and had to turn several people away. Eventually I was seated in the corner of the solarium and looked over the menu…
I considered having the same thing I had the last time I was here in April, which was a Bacon Cheeseburger. But I didn’t remember it being anything special so decided to try something different instead…
Plaza Club – Smoked Ham, Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Mayonnaise layered on Sourdough Bread, served with French Fries
I wasn’t hungry enough to eat all of this, but what I did eat was very good. I had heard so many great things about the fries but really wasn’t all that impressed by them last time. However, this time they were much better and now I understand why everyone likes them so much.
Though the food was great, the best part of this meal had nothing to do with the food. Not long after my sandwich was delivered to my table, I was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face being seated at a table just inside the dining room. It was none other than DeeDee (buzz1121), who I had met during the December 2013 trip which included several other DIS friends. We talked for a bit and made plans to have breakfast together a few days later.
Oh, and even though I had really enjoyed the Plaza Restaurant Sundae during my last visit, I opted to skip dessert in hopes of having a special treat which is offered only during the MNSSHP.
