Roaring Fork Breakfast

On Monday morning I headed downstairs to the Wilderness Lodge’s quick service restaurant…

An interesting fishing-themed display case inside Roaring Fork…

When I stayed at the lodge back in March 2013, I had my first-ever Mickey waffle from Roaring Fork..but, it wasn’t just your ordinary, run-of-the-mill plain Mickey waffle. ;) Roaring Fork serves up some super-deluxe models of Mickey waffles, with three different options.

You can have your waffles topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream…

The Adult portion includes three waffles plus bacon for $7.79.

Or for chocolate lovers, there are waffles topped with chocolate chips, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce…

This is the Kid’s Meal, which comes with two waffles and two slices of bacon plus applesauce and a small drink, all for $4.99. :thumbsup2

And then there is my choice…

Bananas Foster Waffles topped with warm bananas in a buttered-rum flavored sauce

I got the Kid’s portion of two waffles plus bacon but skipped the applesauce. It also came with a small drink, which I chose a small bottle of water. This plus a $2.39 cup of coffee came to a total of only $7.86 including tax. :thumbsup2

I love these waffles…they are soooo good! ::yes:: I had hoped that I could get back to Roaring Fork a second time for breakfast during my stay at the Wilderness Lodge so that I could try the strawberry waffles but sadly I never did. I did return one evening though to get a drink and took a few more display case and menu photos…

Nothing in the display case seemed to be calling my name, so I left with only the drink that I originally came for. ;)
