While Sanaa is a full-service restaurant for lunch and dinner, during the breakfast hours of 7:00 – 10:00 a.m. it serves a “Quick Casual” breakfast (aka Quick Service).
This includes an area that is set up with grab-n-go items like fresh fruit, muffins, and other assorted pastries…
It is here that I found this…
Banana Bread with House-made African Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
I had one of the slices while I was waiting for my entrée to be prepared and it was very good. I saved the other slices to have the next morning and the day-old banana bread was still good.
My entrée was then ordered from the Casual Dining – Quick Service portion of their menu…
After placing my order (and paying for both it and the banana bread) at the cash register I found a table by window.
This was then delivered to me at my table on a pretty plate…
Savanna Platter – Two Cage-free Eggs served any style (I requested them to be scrambled), Tanzanian Hash Browns, Bacon and two Corn Johnny Cakes
And a closer look…
I was impressed with this breakfast. The scrambled eggs tasted freshly made. The bacon was thick cut, meaty and cooked perfectly crisp. I also enjoyed the Corn Johnny Cakes (mini corn bread muffins) and the hash brown potatoes. The potatoes were seasoned with a spice that I couldn’t identify but it made them much more flavorful than the usual breakfast hash browns. Another big plus is that this large plate of food cost only $8.99. The usual price of a breakfast platter at other Disney quick service restaurants is more than $10. So this is a good quality breakfast at a pretty fair price. Therefore the quick service breakfast at Sanaa receives an enthusiastic thumbs up from me!
Also while enjoying my breakfast at a table by the window I was revisited by the same bird who had peered in the window at us during our lunch at Sanaa the previous day…
But this time he (or she?) brought a friend…
