After Trader Sam’s, Paula, Hunter and I visited another popular bar at the Polynesian, the Tambu Lounge. I believe most of its popularity is due to the fact that it is located right next to the Polynesian’s very popular restaurant, ‘Ohana. Because the wait time to be seated at ‘Ohana can often be quite long, many guests pass the time by having a drink at the Tambu Lounge.
Of course, another reason for its popularity could be their Lapu Lapu…
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s back up and take a look at the Tambu Lounge’s Appetizer Menu…
I’ve always wanted to try their pork nachos, but we decided we weren’t ready yet for that much more food. So instead we ordered this to share…
Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Dressing and Celery
There were three very big wings. Hunter commented that they could have easily made 6 usual size wings and they would have been much better. I didn’t like their taste nearly as much as the chicken wings we had had a few nights earlier at the Territory Lounge.
And then here is a clue as to what else we had at the Tambu Lounge…
A look on the inside of the famous $14 Lapu Lapu…
