Territory Lounge

We visited the Territory Lounge twice in one evening.  We began our night there with cocktails.  I chose one that is on the generic cocktail menu that is available at most Disney Word bars/lounges.

I’d previously enjoyed this drink a few times and it was again a winner for me.  If you too like fruity rum cocktails then you should give this one a try.

And if you’d like to have a taste of Disney at home, here is the Bahama Mama recipe:

1 part Parrot Bay Coconut rum, 1 part Myers’s Original Dark rum, 1 part creme de banana, 3 parts orange juice, 3 parts pineapple juice. Pour ingredients over ice and add a drizzle of grenadine.

As for Paula, she went with an Irish Coffee, made with Jameson Whiskey…

And Hunter toasted with a Rum & Diet Coke…

Then after our trip over to the Polynesian, we returned to the Territory Lounge and this time ordered some food to go along with our drinks.

We again ordered the Crispy Asian Chicken Wings

…and they were again delicious!  So much better than the wings that we’d had earlier at the Tambu Lounge.

Instead of the Potato Wedge Fries (which were good), this time we ordered Truffle Fries

Technically these were not listed on their menu as an appetizer (only Potato Wedge Fries), but they were listed as a side with their Gourmet Burger so we asked and they obliged.  So glad we did because they were wonderful!

I again had the Pacific Rim Sweet Riesling, the same wine I enjoyed during our visit to the lounge two nights ago…

…and it paired well with the dessert I ordered.

Artist Point Berry Cobbler topped with Black Raspberry Ice Cream…

This was delicious as usual.  I’ve always liked this dessert.  I tried it once with vanilla ice cream (when I was sharing with someone who didn’t want the black raspberry) and it was still good but I think the black raspberry flavored ice cream takes it to the next level.

The three of us agree that the Territory Lounge is a hidden gem and currently it’s my favorite Disney World lounge.  All the food that we tried both on this night and two nights earlier was great.  Plus there were several other things on their menu that sounded good to me…actually nearly everything!  I’m still kicking myself for not eating here when I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge for a few nights during my December trip.  I won’t make that mistake again!  :thumbsup2
