Territory Lounge – Round 1

Paula, Hunter and I began our evening at the Wilderness Lodge’s Territory Lounge.  Though our original plan was just to have a cocktail here before beginning our monorail crawl, once we saw their menu we couldn’t resist ordering some food with our drinks…

In all honesty there was not one thing on this menu that didn’t sound good to me.  So I let Hunter and Paula do the choosing.  For our first appetizer they ordered the…

Potato Wedge Fries served with smoked house ketchup

These were nicely seasoned and very tasty, especially when dipped into the smoked ketchup.  However, the truffle fries that we have during our 3rd visit to Territory Lounge were even better than these.

For our second appetizer, they chose these…

Crispy Asian Chicken Wings with Miso-Soy Glaze topped with sesame seeds and green onion

And a closer view…

Oh my gosh, these were sooooo good!  Probably some of best chicken wings I’ve ever had.  We all agreed that these were delicious and consequently ended up ordering them again during our 3rd visit to the lounge.

Now Hunter and Paula would have probably quit here but I couldn’t stop myself from ordering one of my Artist Point favorites…

Smoked Portobello Bisque topped with crispy oyster mushrooms and fines herbs

And a closer view…

I love this so I’m very happy that you are able to order Artist Point’s signature soup at the lounge next door.  The only caveat is that it only can be ordered during the hours that the restaurant is open.  So although the Territory Lounge is open from 4:30 – midnight, several things on their food menu (including the mushroom soup) are only available during Artist Point’s shorter hours of 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.

So with good food, drinks, and service plus a quiet, relaxing atmosphere (as we were there during the early evening hours of about 6:30 – 8:00ish), we ended up staying at the Territory Lounge for much longer than originally planned.  But I think we all agreed that it was time well spent!
