The Friar’s Nook Breakfast Review – March 2025

Our group of 7 was both hungry and in need of caffeine, as this was our 3rd day in a row of rope dropping a park. We had spent our early entry time in Fantasyland so The Friar’s Nook seemed like a convenient place for our breakfast break.

I started our mobile order with a round of Freshly Brewed Joffrey’s Coffee ($4.29 each) for all of the adults, with the exception of Andrew who doesn’t drink coffee. He instead requested Chocolate Milk, which at $4.49 cost more than the coffee. However, I should note that that is no longer the case. Currently (as of May 2026) the price of both the coffee and chocolate milk at The Friar’s Nook is $4.79. One more note regarding the coffee here before moving on to our food. Besides the basic Joffrey’s hot coffee, you can also get Joffrey’s Cold Brew here, including their popular Shakin’ Jamaican.

Okay now for the food part of our order. We ordered a lot of food, lol.

Our group shared three of these sandwiches…

Sausage, Egg, and Cheddar Bagel Sandwich served with Tater Tots – $8.99

The sandwich was just okay. Everyone agreed that it rated only a 3. The tater tots were good though, as they were nice and crispy.

Now when I ordered the sandwiches I did not realize that they came with tater tots. Consequently I overordered for our group when I also got two orders of the…

Cheddar, Bacon, and Ranch Tots – Tater Tots topped with bacon bits, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing and chopped green onions – $10.49

The plain tater tots were good but these were even better. We agreed on a rating of 4 for the Loaded Tots.

So that (more than) covered the savory part of our breakfast but I thought we needed some sweet breakfast treats too so I ordered these…

Tiana’s Famous Beignets – $7.29

We rated these a 3 and that was probably generous. I feel bad for Tiana that they put her name on these. If you want to have beignets at Disney World go to the Scat Cat’s Club at Port Orleans – French Quarter for their Mickey-shaped beignets.

I should note that they no longer have the Tiana’s Beignets at The Friar’s Nook. It looks like they have replaced them with Caramel Apple Doughnuts. But if you really want to try these for yourself, they now serve them at the Golden Oak Outpost kiosk in Frontierland, which makes sense since it is close to Tiana’s ride (Tiana’s Bayou Adventure). While I hope that they have improved them, I suspect they are the same.

So overall, we probably won’t be returning to The Friar’s Nook on our upcoming trip unless someone finds themselves in dire need of some loaded tater tots.

But the surprise ending to this review is that I got one more thing to add to our huge breakfast spread. It was from another location though. Can you guess where?
