When I checked in for my 1:40 lunch reservation I decided to ask if I could be seated outside on their terrace. I had two reasons for doing this. The primary one is that I remembered that on my last two visits to Tony’s it had been pretty loud when seated inside in the main dining room. But also, I thought the terrace might provide a decent view for the afternoon parade (Festival of Fantasy) if I should happen to still be there at 3:00 (or actually 3:30ish, as the parade started in Frontierland and ended in Town Square that day).
And I was there for the parade. In fact, my entrée was not even brought out until the parade had already reached Town Square. But let me explain… After checking in for my reservation I took a seat in their crowded waiting area. I figured that with the specific seating request I might be in for a long wait but I was okay with this since I had a comfortable couch to sit on, plus I wasn’t very hungry yet after a big breakfast at Crystal Palace. Well, at about 2:30 I decided to return to the desk and ask if I could be seated at whatever table for one (or two) was next available. Well they couldn’t find the ticket for my reservation, hence my loooooong wait. As it turned out they found it with those of the guests who had already been seated. So with that mistake corrected it wasn’t too much longer before they found me a table…on the terrace.
Though it was a bit of a rough start, I at least now knew I would get to see the parade from my comfortable chair/table on Tony’s terrace. So I relaxed and looked over the menu…
While I knew exactly what I wanted for my appetizer, nothing really called out to me from the entrée section of their menu. But then I remembered this sign that is hanging in the restaurant’s lobby…
…and decided to follow Lady & Tramp’s lead and order spaghetti. But before that came my appetizer choice…

From another angle…
And a close up…
I’ve had this before and really enjoyed it. And happily it was again very good. Ideally I would have had someone to share this with though, since it was too much for just one person.
Especially one that also had this big plate of pasta to eat..
Now as I said before this was not delivered to my table (by a food runner) until after the parade had reached Town Square. So when it arrived I was quite distracted by the parade and taking these photos…
While it wasn’t the best view I’ve ever had of the parade, the terrace is elevated just enough that I had a decent view over the crowd while still comfortably seated at my table.
But while I was enjoying the parade, my spaghetti & meatballs got a bit baked in the hot Florida sun…
But knowing it was my own fault for not eating it right away, I decided to request some parmesan cheese and forge ahead. Unfortunately my server, or any other server, was nowhere to be found on the terrace. So I continued to nibble on my zucchini and wait…and wait. Finally she showed up, probably to see if I was finished and ready for dessert or the check. When I asked for some parmesan cheese she then saw the (less than appealing and untouched) condition of my spaghetti and apologized for not checking on me sooner (as they usually do soon after your food is delivered to the table). So she brought out a new plate of Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce & Meatballs, which I had her cover with fresh parmesan…
The spaghetti and sauce were fine. I would have liked more sauce but with the addition of the shredded parmesan cheese it was good. I liked the two meatballs, which were a pretty substantial size and meaty…
One more thing that I noticed was that the tables around me had all been brought bread (which was focaccia and looked good). So even though I really didn’t need more food, I asked my server for a slice, but she brought me four…
I had one of these with my spaghetti and it was very good.
Too full for dessert, so that just leaves the ratings and rankings. While the food was pretty good, the service was somewhat lacking so I would only rate it a 3. Yelp reviewers also gave Tony’s a 3, but it fared a bit better on Trip Advisor with a 3 1/2. As for the ranking, it comes in at #609 of the nearly 3,000 Orlando area restaurants reviewed there (or #177 if narrowing it down to just the Disney World area restaurants).
