It had been nearly 10 years since I had breakfast at Trattoria al Forno, located along Disney’s Boardwalk. Back then it was actually a character breakfast called Bon Voyage Adventure and featured Rapuzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel, and Prince Eric. Unfortunately this breakfast has never returned after the COVID 19 shutdown of Disney World in March 2020. Though I’ve stayed at the Epcot area resorts many times during these 10 years, I’ve passed on dining at Trattoria and instead opted to try the breakfast at Ale & Compass at the Yacht Club, Cape May at the Beach Club, Rosa Mexicano at the Dolphin, and even The Cake Bake Shop, the new restaurant at the Boardwalk. But I decided that this trip, during our 3 night stay next door at the Swan, would be a good time to have breakfast at Trattoria again…this time with a somewhat different menu and no characters.
Let’s begin by taking a look at the menu (as of May 2026)…

But before I tell you what we ordered, I would like to mention that we really enjoyed that the table at which we were seated was next to the decorated cabinetry that also held the servers’ station…

We were told that it was made to look like your grandmother’s china cabinet. I think they nailed that “grandma’s house” vibe.
Looking to the opposite side from our table we could watch the chefs preparing the food in the open kitchen…

As you can see, this is a pretty restaurant that is filled with dark wood and chandeliers.
To begin our ordering we asked for a pressed pot of…

Trattoria al Forno Coffee, Artisan Roasted by Joffrey’s – $10.25
My tasting notes for this coffee were that it was slightly sweet with chocolate and berry flavors. We both really enjoyed it and gave it a perfect rating of 5. For us it was a very close second to Kona coffee, specially made by Joffrey’s for the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.
And the 5’s continued with our food. We started by sharing the…

Freshly Harvested Fruit with Honey Yogurt – Honey Yogurt topped with blueberry compote, fresh berries, apple and kiwi slices and their House-made granola – $15.00
I loved everything about this simple, yet delicious bowl of yogurt. I really liked that not only was it topped with four kinds (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries) of fresh berries, but it also included two more unusual fruit toppings of apples and kiwi. Also the house-made granola was excellent. In addition to the granola having oats, there were nuts (almond slivers, cashews, and I think maybe pecans?), golden raisins and possibly even some shredded coconut. It was so good but also quite filling. We both enjoyed this enough to give it a rating of 5.
Then we also shared a…

Sunrise Breakfast Pizza topped with Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage and Cheese – $14.00 (price now $15.00 per their current Oct. 2026 online menu)
This was another winner! When we saw that they were baking their pizzas in a brick oven we thought this would be good and we were 100% correct. This was probably the best breakfast pizza we’ve ever had so we of course gave it a rating of 5.
So if you are keeping track, you may realize that the food at Trattoria al Forno had so far earned a perfect score. But what about the service? Well, I’m happy to report that it too received a rating of 5. I’d like to give a shout out to our awesome server, Kathy. She was very personable and friendly. My husband likes to joke around with servers sometimes and Kathy was game.
This was a very enjoyable meal that turned out to be the Best Breakfast of our trip!
