This bar is located next to the Hollywood & Vine Restaurant and in the waiting area for 50’s Prime Time Cafe…
From the Tune In Lounge you can order anything from the 50’s Prime Time menu…
Plus this is where Dad’s Liquor Cabinet is located…
We weren’t yet hungry so ordered only cocktails here. I went with one of the ones pictured here…
I chose a Magical Star Cocktail…
Which started out this color, then with the help of a glow cube (aka as “Dad’s Experimental Electric Ice Cube) turned this color…
And then this color…
This color-changing drink had X-Fusion Organic Mango and Passion Fruit Liqueur, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Pineapple Juice and a souvenir Multicolored Glow Cube. This was good but at a price of $12.00 this was a sip slowly “one and done” cocktail.
At $11.75, my daughter’s choice , the Mowie Wowie, was similarly priced…
This one also was served with a multicolored glow cube and contained Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Melon Liqueur, Peach Schnapps, Orange Juice and Pineapple Juice.
As for my son, he wanted the Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shake that Prime Time is known for. However, having just turned the legal drinking age of 21 three days earlier, he didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to also order a cocktail. So he asked the bartender who took our order if they had an alcoholic version of this milk shake. He replied that he could add a shot of anything he wanted to the PB & J, but his personal recommendation was Kahlua. So that is what my son ordered…
And this was really good…but it was also really expensive. The regular price for the PB & J milkshake is $6.00, which I think is a fair price for the large portion (easily shareable) size you receive. However, the charge for that added shot of Kahlua was $9.00, for a total price of $15.00. Ouch!! Lesson learned…don’t order something not listed on the menu without first knowing the price.
Luckily, the Tune In Lounge does accept Tables in Wonderland which gave me a 20% discount. However, with the set gratuity of 18% and tax, these three drinks ending up costing me almost $40. Sorry kids, no refills allowed!
