We were seated in one of the booths along the wall in the main room of the restaurant, where there is a big communal table
And behind me (remember this for later ) along the back wall are the volcano-named pizza ovens
Stromboli, Vesuvio, Etna and
um, not sure about the name of the one in the lower left-hand corner???
We ordered this pizza to share…
Pepperoni and Spicy Italian Sausage Pizza
($18 for the Individual-size Pepperoni Pizza plus $3.50 for the additional sausage topping)
I’m happy to report that this pizza was a solid, good Wendy and maybe would have even gotten a Peter Pan if this hadn’t been our second lunch of the day.
Oh, and by the way, Allison and I each had a glass of Rosa Regale along with the pizza.
Ahhh yes, Rosa Regale…the Nectar of the Gods.
(This was $11/glass)
Now of course for dessert I had to have this…
Zeppole di Ricotta – Ricotta cheese fritters, served with whipped cream and chocolate sauce – $10.00 (worth every penny)
And now for a closer shot…
Allison and I shared the zeppole, which were delicious once again. But Emily wanted to do her own thing because she spotted this on the dessert menu
Chocolate Gelato
(Like at Tutto Italia, this was $9.00. A little overpriced for a couple of scoops of good, but ordinary chocolate gelato.
And so our overall rating of this meal was: Very Good
