Via Napoli

During our day of “Eating & Drinking around Epcot’s World Showcase” we had a late lunch scheduled at Italy’s Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria.

We were seated against the back wall, right underneath this Firenze (Florence) poster…

…which seemed appropriate since my daughter spent a summer there as part of a Study Abroad program at her college.

Anyway, we started our ordering with a pitcher of Red Wine Sangria…

Via Napoli Sangria – our signature blend of Italian wine and hand-cut fresh fruit

And a toast to a great day of eating and drinking around the world…

I generally prefer white wine (and white wine sangria) but my friends have gotten me hooked on Via Napoli’s red wine sangria.  At $36 for a pitcher it’s not cheap, but it really is good.  I think there was enough in the pitcher to refill all three of our glasses, so about 6 glasses total.  This would be the same as paying $6 for one glass, so not a bad deal when you think of it that way.  Especially since they charge $12 for a single glass of sangria here.  Someday I’d like to try their white wine sangria.  I bet it’s really good too!

As for our food, we ordered this individual-size pizza for the three of us to share…

And another look…

Quattro Formaggi Pizza with Sausage added – white pizza with four cheeses (mozzarella, parmesan, fontina, and provolone) – $22 (plus $4 for the sausage)

This was good but I prefer the Carciofi Pizza (white pizza with artichokes, fontina and mozzarella cheeses, and truffle oil) that I tried for the first time when I was last here with my friends in October 2016.

As for dessert, I normally like to have the zeppole here, but we had decided to have something else during our pre-lunch visit to Germany…so no zeppole this time!

After my 20% Tables in Wonderland discount, our bill was $64 (including tax and gratuity) or about $20 per person for a large slice of pizza and two glasses of sangria.  Not cheap, but not bad by Disney standards…especially for a full-service restaurant.

That just leaves the ratings, which is a 4 across the board…Yelp, Trip Advisor, and the three of us.  Also Via Napoli ranks #186 of the nearly 3,000 Orlando area restaurants reviewed on Trip Advisor.
