BoardWalk Ice Cream – October 2021

BoardWalk Ice Cream shop had opened along Disney’s Boardwalk (where Ample Hills Creamery was once located) on May 20, 2021 and I was curious as to how it would compare to Beaches & Cream and their To-Go window.

First a photo of their menu…

So I had intended to get the Boardwalk’s version of my favorite Beaches & Cream sundae, No Way Jose. At BoardWalk Ice Cream it is called the Thundering Surf Peanut Butter & Chocolate Sundae. But having had the original No Way Jose the night before, I made a spur of the moment decision and instead chose their…

Shoreside Sundae (with 2 scoops of ice cream instead of 3) – $5.99

This had two scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream topped with Hot Fudge, Marshmallow Topping, SNICKERS Bar Pieces, Whipped Cream, Chopped Peanuts and a Maraschino Cherry. This was the equivalent of the SNICKERS Sundae at Beaches and Cream. This was very good, but just couldn’t beat the No Way Jose. We gave it a rating of 4. This sundae is still on BoardWalk Ice Cream’s current menu (as of March 2024) but the price is now $7.29.

BoardWalk Ice Cream seems to be a good alternative to the Beaches & Cream To-Go window if you find yourself craving ice cream while on the Boardwalk side of Crescent Lake.
