Boulangerie Patisserie Oct. 2016

It was early in the morning (shortly after the bakery opened at 9:00 a.m.) when I visited Boulangerie Patisserie, so there were only a handful of people there.   I thought about taking photos of the “eye-catching” contents of their glass display cases, as I have done previously, but there seemed to be very changes since I had visited the year before.   So here is the link to that review…

My October 2015 Visit to Boulangerie Patisserie

I did spot one item that I do not remember them having a year ago…

Boulangerie Patisserie Beignets

These were labeled “Beignets”, however they didn’t look like the ones at Café Du Monde in New Orleans (which is the only place that I have had beignets)…

The Boulangerie Patisserie ones actually looked more like Paczkis (Polish doughnuts) to me.  At the time, I didn’t feel like having anything that sweet, otherwise I would have gotten one just to try it out.  I figured I would be back again sometime later in my 10 day trip so thought I would take a rain check on the beignets this time.  However, sadly I never made it back there.  But I do have it on my list to try sometime during my next trip, which begins in less than two weeks from now.  So hopefully I will soon be able to give you my opinion of the BP beignet.

In the meantime though, I can tell you that what I chose for my breakfast during this visit to the French bakery was absolutely delicious…

Croissant Jambon Fromage (toasted Ham, Cheese and Béchamel Croissant sandwich) and Hot Chocolate

I know I’m in a bit of a rut here (as this was the same thing that I ordered last year) but this breakfast combo was something that I’d looked forward to having again for the loooooong year that I had been away from Disney World.   I mean just look at this sandwich… ;)

And ever since I attended the French Breakfast (held on Saturday mornings at Chefs de France during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival) two years ago and was introduced to the wonderful French hot chocolate (the same that is served at Boulangerie Patisserie), I have been hooked on it as well.

So I will no doubt be back at BP for this breakfast combo in December, but hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze in a paczki (I mean, beignet) too.  ;)
