I placed our mobile order through the My Disney Experience app at about 8:00 and I was notified that our order was ready for pick up about 10 minutes later. There was a shelf along the back wall, just inside the restaurant, and that is where I found our order bagged and ready to go. This was the first of many times that we used Mobile Order on this trip. It was super easy and I highly recommend it.
Now on to our food choices, starting with my choice…
Breakfast Flatbread – Fresh-rolled Pizza Dough layered with Scrambled Eggs, Sausage Gravy, Cheddar, Bacon, and Chives – $10.79
First the negatives. The crust, though nice and crispy along the edges, was soggy in middle. Also I didn’t care for the gravy. It was very bland and I felt there was too much of it. I wish there had been more cheddar cheese and and less gravy. The rest of the toppings, the scrambled eggs and bacon, were both good though. Another positive is that I thought it was a bit better than the Three Meat Flatbread I had from Contempo Cafe during a previous trip. That flatbread I rated a 2 1/2 but this Breakfast Flatbread I gave a rating of 3.

Grilled Breakfast Sandwich – Egg, Ham, and a Three-Cheese Blend on Toasted Brioche served with Potato Barrels – $12.99
Unfortunately the bread was soggy and didn’t hold up to the egg, ham, and cheese. He ended up cutting it up and eating the sandwich with a plastic fork. The best part of this meal was the potato barrels (aka tater tots). These were nice and crispy and tasted quite good. While he rated the sandwich a 3, the potato barrels received a rating of 4.
Note: In looking at their current menu (June 2024) it appears that Contempo Cafe has removed both this breakfast sandwich and another sandwich that had just egg and cheese. Also no longer available are the Pancakes & Bacon or Sausage and a Scrambled Hash Bowl that were options when we were there in March. They have only 4 entrees listed on their current breakfast menu. Besides the Breakfast Flatbread that I had, there is a Bounty Breakfast Platter (with Scrambled Eggs, Mickey waffle, Potato Barrels, Bacon and Sausage), Loaded Totcho Bowl (which has the same toppings as the flatbread only they are on potato barrels instead of a flatbread crust), and of course…Mickey waffles. So boo to them for reducing their options, actually cutting the breakfast entrees on their menu in half from 8 to only 4.
