I’ll begin this review with a photo that I took of the display case which held the Contempo Cafe’s Signature Deluxe Cookies…

Starting at the top row (left to right) there were Churro Sugar Cookies, 5 Legged Goat Cookies, Blueberry-Lemon Sugar Cookies, and Minnie Cinnamon Rolls. In the second row (left to right) were Kitchen Sink Cookies, another tray of the 5 Legged Goat Cookies, and then two trays of Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chunk Cookies.
I purchased 4 out of the 5 cookies shown (all but the 5 Legged Goat) for our group to try. Four of the group offered their ratings for these cookies.
The cookie that received the lowest overall rating was the…

Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chunk Cookie – Chocolate Chunk Cookie topped with Peanut Butter Buttercream ($4.49)
All 4 of us agreed that this cookie was just okay and rated it a 3.
Our opinions were split though on the next cookie…

Kitchen Sink Cookie – Chocolate Chunk Cookie with Toffee, Peanut Butter Chips, Salted Caramel, and Flaky Salt ($4.29)
This cookie was my biggest disappointment. With the addition of toffee and salted caramel, both of which I love, I really thought this cookie would be my favorite. However, it ended up being my least favorite of the four cookies. I thought it was rather dry, overcooked and just didn’t live up to the sum of its parts. Consequently, I gave it a below average rating of only 2. Jake was in agreement with me and also rated it a 2. But on the flip side of that coin, our other two reviewers really liked this cookie and gave it a rating of 4. So I guess we will call this the “YMMV” cookie. Haha
We were mostly in agreement though on the next cookie…

Churro Sugar Cookie – Cinnamon-Sugar Cookie with Cinnamon Buttercream topped with Cinnamon Cereal ($4.49)
While Jake gave this one a 4 rating, the rest of us thought it was just okay and gave it a 3.
Note: All three of the cookies shown above are still available at the Contempo Cafe (per their November 2024 online menu). While the prices of the first two cookies remain unchanged, the Churro Sugar Cookie has had a pretty significant price increase. It is now priced at $5.29, which is an $.80 increase. Definitely not worth it in my opinion.
And last but not least, our overall favorite was the…

Blueberry-Lemon Sugar Cookie – Sugar Cookie topped with White Chocolate, Blueberry-Lemon Buttercream, and a Sugar Flower ($4.49)
We all really liked this cookie and gave it a 4. I was quite surprised by how much I liked this. Though it was the simplest of the four, it was by far the best in my opinion. I was actually not even going to buy this one but I asked the cast member who helped me which was her favorite and this cookie was it. Unfortunately, it seems that it was a seasonal cookie and is not currently on the menu. Hopefully they will bring it back in the Spring.
I also asked the cast member what her recommendation was for a gluten-free dessert…

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar – Chocolate Crust, Peanut Butter Cream Filling, and Chocolate Ganache topped with Plant-based Strawberry Whipped Cream and Strawberry Crisps ($5.99)
Note: This is both Plant-based and Gluten Free and is still available at the Contempo Cafe for the same price (per their November 2024 online menu).
My daughter, Emily, has a sensitivity to gluten so I got this dessert for her to enjoy while the rest of us shared the cookies. She liked this and rated it a 4.
The last dessert that I purchased was shared by my husband and I the night before the rest of our group arrived…

Monorail S’mores Brownie – Fudgy Brownie with a Graham Cracker Crust topped with Marshmallow Creme and Chocolate Decor ($5.79)
We both really enjoyed this dessert and gave it a rating of 4. Though we also gave the Blueberry-Lemon Sugar Cookie a 4, if I had to choose just one, I would pick the brownie.
Note: Though still available at the Contempo Cafe the price of this brownie dessert is now $5.99 (as of their November 2024 menu).
