D-Luxe Burger Lunch – Oct. 2021

This was our first time eating at D-Luxe so we wanted to try some other items in addition to a burger. In order to do this we decided to share some things.

For our burger we chose the…

Southern Classic Burger – Two-pressed Signature Blend Ground Beef Patties (with brisket, angus, chuck and short rib) topped with a fried green tomato, pimento cheese, bacon, and lettuce – $13.49

All of the toppings went well together and with the burger except for the lettuce. But that’s probably a personal opinion that many would disagree with. Since neither of us like lettuce on our burgers we should have requested that it not be included when we placed our mobile order but we didn’t think about it. So anyway, this was a very good burger and we both gave it a rating of 4. Unfortunately this particular burger is not offered on their current menu (as of Feb. 2024). A comparable burger (Barbecued Burger) is currently priced at $13.49 so it seems like D-Luxe hasn’t increased their burger prices in the more than two years since we visited, which is nice.

They have though increased the price of their French Fries

We paid $4.99 for this regular size order of French Fries. The current price (as of Feb. 2024) is $5.49. The fries were great though, especially with the complimentary self-serve sauces they have here.

We tried three of these dipping sauces with our fries. While the Garlic Ranch and Chipotle Mayo were both good, our favorite was the Truffle Aioli. With the combination of good fries and tasty dipping sauces (at no extra charge), we gave the French Fries here a rating of 4.

We also ordered one of their Artisanal Shakes to share…

Chocolate Gelato Shake – Vanilla Gelato blended with Dark Chocolate Sauce topped with Whipped Cream, Dark Chocolate Drizzle, and a Maraschino Cherry – $7.50 (current price is $7.75)

I was a bit afraid of the Dark Chocolate sauce in this because I’m generally not a fan of dark chocolate and tried to talk Andrew into sharing the Salted Caramel Gelato shake instead. But he really wanted the chocolate one and I didn’t want to order two shakes. So I caved and went with the chocolate and was pleasantly surprised that the dark chocolate taste (that I think is bitter) was not at all prominent. We both really enjoyed this shake and gave it a rating of 4.

So with 4 ratings all around I would say that our first visit to D-Luxe Burger was a success. We will likely return sometime to D-Luxe, as I still have my eye on their Bacon & Blue Burger. The problem is that there are so many places at Disney Springs that I haven’t yet tried, plus the favorites I like to revisit. Disney Springs has certainly become the Mecca for foodies!
