Dinner at the Crew’s Cup Lounge

NOTE: The Crew’s Cup Lounge is attached to the Yacht Club Resort’s signature restaurant, Yachtsman’s Steakhouse.

We arrived at the Crew’s Cup at around 6:30 and saw there were several open tables, booths and seats at the bar available.

We seated ourselves at a booth along the left-hand wall. I noticed that Nemo was playing on one of their TV’s, while the others all had sports.

Our server soon came to our table and gave us menus. On one side were the Appetizers/Small Plates and Beer selections…

While the other side listed their Cocktails and Wine selections…

My husband started by ordering the…

Lobster Bisque topped with Lobster Salad, Creme Fraiche, Red Pepper Coulis, Brandy, Espelette Oil, and Foccaccio Crostini – $18.00

You could definitely taste both the brandy and red pepper in this. It had a little spicy kick to it. He thought the bisque was good and gave it a rating of 4. I tasted it and thought it was just okay, giving it a rating of 3.

I began my meal here by ordering this…

Steakhouse Wedge Salad with Candied Bacon, Farmhouse Egg, Radish, and Smokey Blue Cheese Dressing – $16.00

The blue cheese dressing was good but a bit salty. The bacon had a sweet maple flavor but, though the flavor was good, it was very chewy. The texture was like pork belly. My favorite part of the salad was actually the egg with the soft yolk. Without the egg I would have rated this salad only a 3 but the egg bumped it up to a 3 1/2. Don doesn’t like blue cheese dressing so he didn’t even try my salad.

We then also ordered this to share…

Prime Rib Sliders – Prime Rib topped with Provolone Cheese and Onion Pepper Relish, served on Yachtsman Signature Onion Rolls with a side of Horseradish Cream – $21.00

This was good quality, shaved prime rib beef. I was afraid that it would be fatty and cooked rare but it was not. I enjoyed the caramelized onion and cheese toppings and of course the YSH onion rolls are always delicious. I’m not a fan of horseradish, so was glad that it was served on the side. My husband though really liked the horseradish cream. We both enjoyed the sliders and rated them a 4.

The sliders also came with a side of House Made Chips

I thought these were too salty but my husband enjoyed them and gave them a rating of 4.

I didn’t ask, but I would bet that you could order from the Yachtsman’s Dessert menu here. However, I had another place in mind for our dessert so this concluded our meal.

An added note is that the lounge continued to fill with people during the hour or so that we were there. By the time we left at around 7:30, all the tables and seating at the bar were filled and people were waiting to be seated. So keep that in mind if you are interested in visiting the Crew’s Cup.
