Sangria Hour at Jaleo in Disney Springs is something I had heard about when researching for our last Disney trip in 2024. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try it then, so I was determined to get there this time.
In case you are unfamiliar with Jaleo, it is a Spanish restaurant owned by Chef Jose Andres. Besides this location at Disney Springs, there are Jaleo restaurants is Washington, DC and Las Vegas. There used to be one in Chicago, but unfortunately it closed in January 2025. Each of the Jaleo restaurants offers a Sangria Hour but the time that it is offered and the menu varies by location.
For the Disney Springs Jaleo, Sangria Hour is offered daily from 11:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and here is a photo of their menu…

The first thing we discovered when arriving at Jaleo at about 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon, was that this special Sangria Hour menu is available only at the bar (located in the back of the restaurant), which I believe only seated about 8 people.

So even though there was plenty of seating available in the bar area and on the outside terrace, we were told that we could only order from the (specially priced) Sangria Hour menu if we were seated at the bar.

Luckily when we arrived there was only one other couple seated at the bar so we were able to sit down immediately. However, when we left about 45 minutes later, all of the bar seats were filled.
While they did have one beer (a lager) and a red and white wine listed on the special menu, we decided that the appropriate beverage to order at a Sangria Hour is Sangria…

Sangria roja La Suerca (La Suerca Red Wine Sangria) is pictured on the right and was $7/glass. This was Don’s choice, as frozen drinks tend to give him “brain freeze”. He really enjoyed its fruity, spiced red wine flavor and gave his sangria a rating of 5.
As for me, I went with the frozen version, which was $1 more (at $8/glass)…

While I enjoyed this, I tend to prefer white wines over red so wished they offered a white wine sangria on their Sangria Hour menu. With this in mind, I gave my Frozen red wine sangria a rating of 4 1/2.
Now for our Tapa selections…

Patatas Bravas – A Jaleo favorite: Fried Potatoes with Spicy Tomato Sauce and Aioli – $5.00
I really liked these, especially with the aioli added. Don, on the other hand, thought they were just okay. So while my rating for the Patatas Bravas was a 4 1/2, Don’s rating was only a 3.

Bunuelos de bacalao con aioli de miel – Fried Cod and Potato Fritters with Honey Aioli – $6.50
Again these were made better by adding the sweet, honey aioli dipping sauce. I was between getting these or getting the chicken fritters, but after tasting the honey aioli (which I loved) I was happy with my choice. Per the menu, I don’t believe that the chicken fritters (Croquetas de Pollo) come with the aioli dipping sauce. Like the potatoes, I also gave the Bunuelos a rating 4 1/2. Don liked these better than the potatoes but not quite as much as me, giving them a rating of 4.
Don’s favorite tapa of the three we tried were the…

Endivas con queso de cabra con membrillo y nueces – Endives with goat cheese, oranges and almonds – $5.00
The goat cheese flavor was dominant with this tapa. It gave these a burst of flavor with a hint of citrus from the oranges and slivers of almonds added texture and crunch. It was nice to have something that was lighter and not fried along with our other two choices. While Don gave the endives his highest rating of our three tapas, giving them a rating of 4 1/2, I actually slightly preferred the other two but still gave the endives a rating of 4.
So overall our first Sangria Hour at Jaleo was a success. I would definitely consider returning again for Sangria Hour or perhaps for a full meal. However, with so many restaurants at Disney Springs that I’d like to try or return to after a long absence, it could be awhile before we get back to Jaleo. But we enjoyed this “taste” of Jaleo and would recommend their Sangria Hour.
One other note to add… before leaving Jaleo I needed to visit the Ladies Room and was pleasantly surprised to find this fun decor…
