Our group of 12 was divided into two tables, with 6 of us at each table. They were unable to accommodate our large group at one table but our tables were close to each other in a room upstairs.
Seated at my table were Don, Andrew, Jake, Becca, and Bryan’s dad, Kevin. Emily, Bryan and the rest of Bryan’s family were at the other table so unfortunately I don’t have much information regarding their meals.
But as for our table, we began by ordering some non-alcoholic beverages. While Kevin and I ordered sodas and Don stuck with water, the other three got these…

The one on the right was a Berry Cherry Limeade (Sprite with Cherry & Lime Juice) for $4.50. The other two are both Shanghai Lemonades but with two different flavorings. The flavor choices for the lemonade here were Desert Pear, Passion Fruit, South Seas Blend, or Lemon Grass. I believe the one on the left was Lemon Grass and the other was either Desert Pear or Lychee. The Shanghai Lemonades were also $4.50. So while all of these drinks were $4.50, my plain, old Sprite was $4.79, which I thought was odd. The difference may have been that there were free refills on the Sprite and perhaps not on the other drinks, but we can’t recall if that was the case. Anyway, the Limeade and Lemonades all received a rating of 3.
Next we got two orders of the…

Pork Egg Rolls served with Chili Plum Dipping Sauce – $12.99
Each order had three egg rolls so I’m glad that I ordered two so that the 6 of us each got our own egg roll instead of dividing them in half. This was especially appreciated since we all enjoyed these and rated them a 4.
As for our entrees, two at our table got the…

Honey Chicken – Tempura Chicken and stir-fried vegetables tossed in honey sauce, served with a choice of Jasmine (what they both chose) or brown rice – $22.99
I also ordered the Honey Chicken but made a substitution for the regular rice…

Honey Chicken with Chicken Fried Rice for an additional $3.99
We all agreed that the Honey Chicken was just okay and Don and I gave it a rating of 3. However, Jake only rated it a 2 1/2. I had debated about whether to order this or the Chicken and/or Shrimp Lo Mein. I have to say that I regretted my decision not to try the Lo Mein.
Andrew made a better choice when he ordered the…

Teriyaki Chicken – Marinated All-Natural Chicken Breast with a Teriyaki Glaze, topped with Pineapple Mango Salsa and served with Stir-fried Vegetables and Coconut-Ginger Rice – $25.99
Andrew enjoyed this and gave it a rating of 4.
Becca’s choice was the…

Chop Chop Chicken Salad – Chopped Romaine Lettuce, Red and Napa Cabbage, Carrots, and Marinated Grilled Chicken tossed in Miso Sesame Dressing and topped with Mandarin Orange Slices and Crispy Wontons – $20.99
Kevin said he enjoyed his entree…

Kobe Beef Burger – 10 oz. grilled American Kobe Beef Burger topped with choice of Shitake Mushroom and Scallion Compote (his choice) or Asian slaw and served with Sesame-Soy Mayonnaise and Crispy French Fries – $24.99 (American cheese added for $.99)
Now for the other table, starting with Emily’s cocktail…

Big Bamboo with Don Q Coconut Rum, Don Q Cristal Rum, Banana Liqueur, and Tropical Fruit Juices – $14.00
Emily likes rum so I’m not surprised at all that she chose the Big Bamboo and enjoyed it. She gave it a “very tasty” rating of 4. I was though a little surprised at its price of $14.00 though. I suspect that a cocktail of this size would likely cost more at a Disney-owned restaurant but Yak & Yeti is not a Disney-owned restaurant. So bravo to Yak & Yeti, owned and operated by Landry’s!
NOTE: Out of curiosity I checked out the current online cocktail menu for O’hana, which has some similar rum cocktails. These are currently priced at $16.50, so I would say my suspicions were correct.
Some of the others had cocktails but no pictures were taken. They did though send me a photo of their appetizer…

Pork Pot Stickers (Pan-seared) served with Soy Lime Dipping Sauce – $12.99
…however, I wasn’t given any opinions about the pot stickers.
I also received photos but no opinions of their entrees, except for Emily’s…

Korean Beef – Wok-fried Beef, Peppers, Onions, and Pineapple with Korean BBQ Sauce $23.99 (served with Chicken Fried Rice for an extra $3.99). She also requested a side of Yum Yum sauce.
Emily really liked this and gave it a rating of 4. She even said that it was probably her favorite meal of the trip.
And here are the photos of their other entrees…

Cantonese Pork Belly Bowl – Char Siu Pork Belly, Stir-fried Yakisoba Noodles with Carrots, Shiitake Mushrooms & Scallions, Grilled Bok Choy, Crispy Pork Wontons, and a Fried Egg – $34.99

Skirt Steak with Asian Slaw, Bok Choy and Miso Sauce

Chicken Tikka Masala – Boneless Chicken Breast Marinated in Yogurt and Freshly Ground Herbs cooked in a Traditional Masala Sauce and served with Jasmine Rice and Garlic Naan – $27.99
And another Honey Chicken was ordered by someone at the other table…

Which means that at least 4 out of our group of 12 ordered Honey Chicken. I guess, for the most part, we were not an adventurous group, lol.
And that just leaves our dessert. Knowing how good these are from my previous experiences at Yak & Yeti, I ordered one for each table…

Fried Wontons – Skewers of Fresh Pineapple and Cream Cheese-filled Wontons topped with Honey-Vanilla Sauce and garnished with Strawberry pieces. Served with Vanilla Ice Cream – $13.99
This is a perfect, light dessert to have after a fairly heavy meal. This dessert was rated a solid 4. Though Yak & Yeti has other desserts like Cheesecake, Mango Pie, Chocolate Pudding Cake, and Pineapple Upside-down Cake, I’ve never been able to pass up the chance to have this more unique and delicious dessert.
So although Emily thought this meal was the best of our trip, the rest of us were not quite as impressed. While I liked how it started (with the egg rolls) and how it ended (with the fried wonton dessert), the most important entree portion of my meal was less than stellar.
